Job Overview

A Tour Assistant supports artists, bands, and their management teams throughout the touring process. This role involves handling logistics, coordinating schedules, managing travel arrangements, assisting with equipment, and ensuring smooth operations during live performances. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and has a passion for the touring industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination

  • Organize and manage tour schedules, including travel arrangements, accommodation, and transportation.
  • Coordinate with venues for setup, sound checks, and performance times.
  • Ensure all tour-related permits and documents are in order.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
  • Prepare itineraries and distribute them to band members and crew.
  • Handle communication with promoters, venues, and other stakeholders.

On-Tour Support

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment at each venue.
  • Ensure all equipment is transported safely and efficiently.
  • Address any issues or emergencies that arise during the tour.

Liaison Role

  • Act as a point of contact between the artist, management, and external parties.
  • Facilitate communication and problem-solving on the road.

Artist Care

  • Ensure the comfort and well-being of the artists, including handling special requests and managing hospitality riders.
  • Provide personal assistance to band members as needed.

Promotion and Merchandising

  • Assist with the setup and sales of merchandise at venues.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and fan interactions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A degree in Music Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, Dance, Theater or related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in event planning, logistics, or the music industry is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling and project management software.
  • General knowledge of industry standards and practices.
