Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the establishment
- Escort guests to their assigned seats or tables
- Provide information about the venue, such as showtimes or menu options
- Assist with seating arrangements and ensure that guests are comfortable
- Answer any questions or concerns that guests may have
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the host/host station
Skills:
- Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Previous experience in a theater, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking and active listening
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact
- Knowledge of food service procedures and basic food safety guidelines is a plus
Note: Lifeguard or experience working with children is not relevant to the role of a Host/Host.
