Atlas Masonry LLC is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as a Masonry Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost associated with commercial and residential masonry projects, ensuring competitive bids, and contributing to the overall success of our projects. As a Masonry Construction Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing project specifications, conducting material take-offs, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver precise and comprehensive project estimates.

Responsibilities:

Project Analysis

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to gain a thorough understanding of the work scope.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations, if necessary, to assess site conditions and gather essential information for accurate estimates.

Manage Take Offs

  • Perform detailed material take-offs to determine the quantities of materials required for each project.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain up-to-date pricing information for materials.

Cost Estimation

  • Utilize estimating software and tools to calculate labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial masonry projects.

Bid Preparations

  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, project timelines, and any special considerations.
  • Collaborate with the bidding team to ensure all aspects of the bid are well-coordinated.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and specifications.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information and address any inquiries.

Market Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations related to masonry materials and construction labor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • 5 years’ experience estimating projects within the commercial masonry field, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a masonry estimator in commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry materials, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook)
  • Proficiency in using Tradesmen's estimating software and tools is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with various project management software (Procore, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
