Utah Valley Refugees is Hiring a Transportation specialist Near Provo, UT
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Refugee Transportation Specialist to play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of refugees to their intended destinations.
The ideal candidate will have strong logistical and communication skills, with a commitment to providing support to vulnerable populations.
This position involves coordinating transportation services, collaborating with community partners, and addressing the unique needs of refugees during their resettlement journey.
Transport specialists will help provide rides to and from English classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings (6PM to 8PM) as well as Saturday (10AM to 12PM).
Specialists will also help provide rides to doctor's appointment, job interviews, and the grocery store, these times and days will vary.
Qualifications :
- Strong organizational and logistical planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by refugees and a commitment to providing culturally competent support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and procedures related to refugee transportation.
- Proficiency in relevant languages, especially those spoken by the refugee populations served, is a plus.
