Purpose: This is a key ministry position. The Operations Manager provides leadership crucial to the flourishing of Christ Community’s mission. He or she will not only support and maintain vital administrative functioning, but also help develop our organizational operations and expand or change them as the situation requires. He or she will often be present in our facility to manage the office and see that the necessary weekly administrative responsibilities are completed.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Ministry Operations

• Performs general office duties in support of pastoral staff
• Develops and maintains processes that help the church achieve our mission, including the potential of helping start multiple interdependent communities
• Manages database related to the people of the church
• Ensures proper support for events: such as funerals, weddings, and large fellowship gatherings (e.g. set-up, take-down, supply purchase)

Office Management

• Serves as first-contact for the church’s phone and email communications
• Oversees maintenance of office equipment, various office technologies and systems
• Oversees building, liability, and health insurance programs
• Works with the financial administrator to ensure timely, accurate payables and deposits
• Oversees church facility maintenance and upkeep; manages contractors and/or a facilities staff
• Develops and administers policies and procedures concerning the use of church properties and facilities (e.g., maintains building calendar)
• Responsible for the purchase of supplies, such as food or office, for either the day-to-day office operation and or special events

Expectations:

As an employee of CCC, the Operations Manager will adhere to the staff handbook for

policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

Salary & Benefits:

Part-time salaried (roughly 20-22 hours a week), paid bimonthly

5 paid vacation days; paid federal holidays

5 paid sick days

2 paid retreat days per year

Accountable to Pastor:

• For upholding the call of a church member in good standing, in compliance with Christ Community’s mission and member covenant
