Scofflaw Brewing Co. is looking for a customer service and numbers driven individual to lead and grow our tasting room in Columbus. The ideal candidate will be a considerate leader, a passionate beer lover, and a confident decision maker that thrives on the providing excellent customer service all while helping the Scofflaw brand grow.

Additionally, this position will work closely with ownership to identify growth opportunities and help identify potential for new accounts in the market. The position requires a working knowledge of all functions of the business.

Above all else, the candidate must enjoy being part of a team and be able to build a fun, creative, and inclusive atmosphere within the taproom land staff.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Monitor staff to ensure successful day-to-day operations.
• Responsible for the development of policies and procedures in all facets of customer-facing programs/functions.
• Set goals, metrics, and targets for sales
• Book vendors and music when needed
• Ensures and monitors customer satisfaction, and makes appropriate changes based on feedback from guests
• Lead routine staff meetings to ensure accountability/uniformity.
• Work with Marketing Director to ensure advertising/marketing campaigns for your tasting room are completed and well-communicated.
• Maintain accurate pricing and inventory.
• Onsight for events when necessary.
• Hire, manage, train, and schedule bartending and event staff for tasting room•
• Ensure merchandise areas are stocked and all merchandise items are properly inventoried and displayed.
• Coordinate events, parties, and reservations

Preferred education, requirements, and experience:

• Demonstrate passion for craft beer and community.
• Advanced understanding of the Square POS system and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop people.
• A competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
• Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results.
• 2 years relevant management experience in bar, restaurant, or brewery.
• Some experience in event planning and/or marketing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with coworkers and owners
• Must have superior customer service and interpersonal relationship skills with special emphasis on problem-solving.
• Responds positively and quickly to emails and coworker/customer concerns both internally and externally.
• Treats all employees with dignity and respect; creates an environment where the entire team does the same.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety standards and protocols; safety minded.
• Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidential matters.
• Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
• Manage a large number of projects/events simultaneously to ensure smooth implementation.
• Ability to work onsite and work nights and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 per year
