The TECMA Group is Hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector I Near Santa Teresa, NM

Main Activities: Organization: Individual Contributor competency model.
Main Interface: Internal Impact – Operations, Engineering, Sales, Finance. External Impact – vendors, other business entities.
Budget: No direct budgetary responsibility.
Main Job Duties:
Experience: At least one year of experience and knowledge of PDU product and Legrand quality standards.

The Quality Assurance Inspector, as with all members of the Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

Main Job Duties:
- Independently perform routine tasks to inspect product.
- Independently perform PCA/part/subassembly/finished product build and quality validation sampling.
- Perform quality inspection audits to IPC 610A standard for printed circuit boards, soldering criteria, leadfree connections, fillet criteria, cleanliness, and failure modes.
- Perform tests on product to determine approval or rejecting and writes report of examinations.
- Identify and disposition non-conforming parts, assemblies and finished good products.
- Independently perform quality audits of various types.
- Troubleshoot and isolate physical and functional product defects.
- Perform work in a safe manner. Report repairs or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain compliance with all ISO 9001 regulations and procedures.
- Perform warehouse receiving, storage and shipping functions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience: At least one year of experience and knowledge of PDU product and Legrand quality standards.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret orthographic drawings.
- Familiar with mechanical measurement equipment and tooling.
- Ability to understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
- Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Read and understand BOMS, Wiring and Layout diagrams for use in product build verification.
- Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP software is preferred.
