Job Summary:
The Salutis Center for Autism, Dyslexia, & Cognitive Health is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education Instructors to join our team. As a premier educational services provider, Salutis prioritizes providing services with integrity and dignity to our clients and their families. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students, both adults & children with various neurodivergent academic and social needs, we invite you to register for our Orton Gillingham training. After the 10 day intensive training, you are offered a position as a certified clinician specializing in Orton Gillingham and provided with the necessary knowledge to begin providing specialized services.
Duties:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction in various subjects tailored to meet each student's unique learning requirements
- Utilize instructional design techniques to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Support students in improving literacy skills and academic performance
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Mentor and guide students in developing social skills and independence
- Offer academic advising to help students set educational goals and track progress
- Provide teacher coaching and support to enhance teaching strategies
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred
- Familiarity with mentoring or tutoring students in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of literacy education principles and practices
- Experience in academic advising or supporting student development
- Ability to educate and inspire students with diverse learning needs
