Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial and/or Residential Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in commercial and / or residential properties, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and appearance. This is subcontracted work, perfect for individuals or cleaning businesses looking to fill empty spots on their calendar for a more consistent flow of work and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Deep clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and other facilities as required.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors in residential and commercial properties.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Report any necessary repairs or replacements to the supervisor.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Qualifications:

• Ability to provide professional carpet cleaning is a plus (not required).
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with commercial and/or residential cleaning.
• Ability to pass a background check, which includes a review for criminal records relevant to the position.
• Verbally fluent in English.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing cleaning tasks.
• Strong knowledge of the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment based on surface type.
• Must have own cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Must have or be willing to obtain General Liability insurance.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Good time management skills to prioritize cleaning duties.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move objects up to 35 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in various residential homes and/or commercial buildings, depending on experience.
• Must be comfortable with standing for long periods and performing physical tasks.
• Flexible working hours – you choose your own schedule.

Contract Terms:

• Compensation is based on a per-job basis (average hourly rate is $40 – candidates can make more or less depending on speed and the type of equipment used to complete the job). Additional discretionary compensation may be offered based on performance.
• Contractor is responsible for their own taxes and insurance.
• Contractor must provide their own cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Invoices must be submitted weekly for payment processing.
