Ballard Reuse is a small business in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. We are professional, agile and creative. We have a full-time salvage crew that visits thousands of sites each year keeping great materials out of the landfill. We resell these materials to the general public at our 12,000 square foot retail store which is open 7 days per week.

Overview:
Ballard Reuse, an architectural salvage and used building materials warehouse, is seeking a new part-time member to join our weekend store crew. We are a small business that visits multiple sites each day throughout the Puget Sound region bringing cool things and quality used building materials back to our retail store in Ballard, which is open 7 days a week.
Our mission is to keep as much out of the landfill as possible while catalyzing creative reuse in our city. Construction materials make up around 40% of America's yearly 250 million tons of waste produced! We're doing what we can to shrink that number. We take pride in educating our community on ways to reuse, recycle and waste less. Our customers include homeowners, contractors, business owners, artists and the occasional neighborhood celebrity.
As part of our retail store crew your job will include accepting materials into our store, pricing and merchandising them and keeping the store organized. You would also be helping our great customers find the materials they need for their projects. Our optimal applicant would have some construction experience or knowledge, along with a fun, outgoing personality and the desire to keep great materials out of the landfill.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and safety standards of our store as directed by the Store Manager
- Cheerfully help customers find the materials they need
-Prioritize Safety

Experience:
- Some previous retail experience would be great
- Some tool experience or competency with hand tools is quite useful
