Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Estimators to join our team. As an Estimator at ACG, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs of various new construction and renovation projects, including commercial buildings, health care and higher education facilities, historic properties, not-for-profit, industrial, and other non-residential structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Grasp project scope and requirements and identify potential risks, challenges and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Develop and document detailed takeoffs, identifying and quantifying material, labor, and equipment costs for each project component.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to assemble accurate pricing for materials and services, qualify proposals, and ensure adherence to company standards and profitability goals.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to develop budgets and cost projections.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, scope reviews and client presentations, vendor negotiations and buyouts, as necessary.
  • Keep current with industry trends and market pricing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience is preferred.
  • Proven conceptual and hard bid estimating experience as a commercial construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, methods, and materials, as well as familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to multi-task while balancing priorities and deadlines for multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
