Silverton Casino Lodge is Hiring a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Near Las Vegas, NV

General Summary of Job Duties: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the overall management and administration of all Human Resources functions to deliver an excellent Team Member experience and contribute to Company financial profitability.
Principle Responsibilities And Duties
  • Manages daily Human Resources operation to include, but not limited to, interviewing, and hiring, employment and recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit compensation, Team Member relations, contract compliance, disciplinary procedures, workers compensation, safety, statutory compliance, recognition and reward and performance evaluations.
  • Manage Team Member relations programs, activities, and initiatives to include, but not limited to, holiday functions, health fairs, award banquets and special events.
  • Oversee function of the data management system to include, but not limited to, entry of Team Member data, recording employment transitions (i.e., hire, separation, leaves of absence, etc.), generating reports (i.e. payroll analysis, labor turnover, etc.) as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all Team Members.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Reviews, monitors, and approves all Employee Evaluations and increases based on the parameters of Silverton’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitors the Employment Verification process and ensures compliance with Silverton Policy and Procedure.
  • Assists to coordinate, administer, and solicits the staffing of all temporary personnel needs, with Temporary Agencies for special events, promotions, etc.
  • Monitors, completes, processes, develops, and maintains a wide variety of records, according to requirements.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims. To include preparing and processing all pertinent documentation. Appeals determinations, coordinates, and counsels all witnesses that are to participate in Unemployment Hearings.
  • Conducts exit interviews of resigning or terminated employees to track issues of morale, discontent and adherence to law and policies.
  • Coordinates all Employee Board of Review matters, excluding the conduction of the actual hearing.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of relevant information.
  • Assists the Training Manager/Executive Director of Human Resources with the coordination and facilitation of Team Member Orientation and Service training.

  • Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
  • 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated ability, knowledge, and experience in all aspects of Human Resources functions including but not limited to employment, maintenance of employment files, record keeping requirements, employee relations and unemployment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective recommendations.
  • Demonstrated record of successful interpersonal skills regarding working with diverse people and levels of authority.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and effectively re-prioritize in a moment’s notice while maintaining organization or work processes.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information and operate in highly sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated proven experience including organizing, staffing, planning, leading, and controlling.
  • Knowledge and experience with computers and software programs to include word processing and spreadsheet packages such as Word for Windows and Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and know when it is necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
