Monday- Friday /8am-4:30pm/On Call Every 3rd Weekend

Barre Gardens is seeking a personable RN Unit Manager to assist the Director of Nursing with the management and training of the nursing services staff and the overall management of resident care.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning the delivery of care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.
  • Acts appropriately under the direction of the DON and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in unit/shift assignments to meet resident and facility needs.
  • Ensures the residents receive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

Qualifications:

· Must possess, as a minimum, a degree in Nursing from an accredited school.

· Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state the facility is located

· Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Experience

· Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.

· Previous long-term care experience is desirable.

· Computer knowledge preferred.
