Position: Part-time Worship Leader/Musician

Reports to: Pastor

Type of Position: Salaried

Hours: Average of 25 hours per month, including two weekly Sunday morning worship services

Compensation: $15,000 annual (salary is negotiable based upon experience)

Benefits: Four paid Sundays off per year

Neighbors Church is seeking a part-time Worship Leader who will:

· Select and lead the music for the weekly worship service(s) which typically entails 3-5 contemporary or traditional worship songs and/or original songs per service, primarily with a lead instrument (guitar, piano, etc.) and voice.

· Participate in the planning, development, and execution of up to 7 “special” worship services and events as requested throughout the year. This may include but not be limited to: Christmas Eve, Dinner Church, Good Friday, and other church and social events.

Expectations:

· Significant skill and gifting in both singing and in playing at least one primary instrument that can be utilized in leading worship.

· Experience in song selection, leading worship, and working with volunteers. Experience in a wide variety of worship style environments is a big plus.

· Technical skills (or the ability to learn how) to utilize a wide variety of equipment including computers, sound systems, video projection equipment and software, digital audio recording, etc. as needed.
