MaKenna Farms Assisted Living is Hiring a Medication Technician Near Meridian, ID

The Med Tech / Caregiver has full responsibility for direct resident care. This includes assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, helping residents participate in their daily activity program, meal preparing/serving and some laundry and housekeeping tasks.

  • Assists resident with all personal care skills (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
  • Assist residents with medication and properly document in Medication Assistance Record (MAR).
  • Makes appropriate observations about the resident’s condition in every interaction.
  • Records and follows up with changes in resident’s condition in a timely manner.
  • Assists residents with laundry and housekeeping services as needed.
  • Assist meal preparation and serving.

Skills:

- Must hold a active Med Tech certificate
- Must be CPR/ First Aid certified -Must be able to pass back ground check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as ALIS
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documenting medication administration and patient responses
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members
- Experience with specimen collection is a plus
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
