HR Recruiting Firm is Hiring a Director of Compensation Near Anaheim, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Compensation to lead our client's compensation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compensation strategy development, implementation, and management. They will be responsible for designing and administering competitive and effective compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

This role is primarily remote, however does have a hybrid component with occasional in-office requirements based on project needs or in-person meetings and so the hybrid schedule may vary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compensation strategies and programs that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of base pay, variable pay, and executive compensation programs
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure the competitiveness of our compensation programs
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, promotions, and salary adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation
  • Manage the annual merit and bonus process, including budgeting, planning, and communication
  • Provide leadership and direction to the compensation team, including coaching and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with finance and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of compensation data and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred
  • 10 years of experience in compensation, with supervisory experience in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation software and systems
