East Phillips Improvement Coalition is the neighborhood organization or the Citizen Participation Organization for the East Phillips neighborhood in South Minneapolis.

East Phillips is a neighborhood within the Phillips community in South Minneapolis. Its northern boundary runs along 24th Street from Bloomington Avenue to 17th Avenue South, then runs along East 22nd Street from 17th Avenue South to Hiawatha. Its other boundaries are Hiawatha Avenue to the East, East Lake Street to the South and Bloomington Avenue to the West.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Communications to lead our communication strategies and enhance our brand presence. The ideal candidate will oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in conveying our organization's message.

**Duties:**

- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote the organization's mission, values, and goals

- Manage all aspects of public relations, media relations, and social media presence

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content for various platforms

- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, press releases, and newsletters

- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns

- Lead crisis communication efforts when necessary

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field

-Oversee East Phillips Garden and promote collaborations for neighboring gardens

- Capture community programming in action to utilize in future grant writing

- Proven experience as a Communications Director or similar role

- Strong knowledge of E-commerce, SEO, digital marketing, and content marketing

- Proficiency in HTML5, marketing automation tools, and budgeting

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

- Experience in sales or advertising sales is a plus
