Responsibilities
- Remove ashes from oven. Build new fire. Sweep oven room.
- Set up dish station, prepare mop bucket, wash and put away accumulated kitchen implements.
- Complete all assigned food prep.
- Break down boxes, exchange filled garbage and compost containers.
- Maintain kitchen floors clean and dry.
- Complete cleaning duties as specified in the weekly cleaning schedule.
- Wash all dishes and glassware and return to storage.
- Retrieve all kitchen soiled equipment from carts, wash and return to storage.
- Break down and clean dish machine and all tables.
- Sweep and wet-mop entire kitchen.
- Be reliable and punctual at all times.
- Participate in training activities as required.
- Undertake and follow through on any reasonable task or request made by Management.
- Be fully aware of restaurant’s fire and safety regulations and abide by them.
- Be courteous and professional with all colleagues.
- Inform Management of all complaints or incidents.
- Ensure that you keep a high standard of personal hygiene, your uniform is kept clean, and that you are well groomed at all times.
- Frequently sit or stand for prolonged periods of time over the course of an 8-hour day.
- Occasionally operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. calculator, copy machine, and computer printer).
- Frequently walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is loud.
- Work environment entails sharing a workspace with others and interacting with other staff.
- Work environment involves frequent exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
- Work involves frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or unpleasant odors while visiting prospects/clients.
- Chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm may be present at the worksite.
