Position Title:  JA HOPE Project Manager – Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High

Reports to: VP of Education

Position Concept

Full-time JA Manager to be on-site at both Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High working with staff and volunteers to facilitate JA curriculum, logistics and program implementations. Serve on-site at schools for advocacy and support to teachers to ensure maximum learning classroom experiences in economics, marketing, business, financial algebra, entrepreneurship, personal budgeting, business budgeting, education pathways, life skills, career choices, lifestyle choices, ethics, and civics.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a drive to reach as many students as possible through developing solid relationships with teachers, community, and administrators.

Primary Responsibilities

· Collaborates with BPS District personnel and Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High teachers, faculty and staff to determine appropriate JA learning experiences.

· Ensures that on-site presence remains at a minimum of 70% throughout the standard work week (Monday through Friday)

· Master knowledge, training, and implementation of JA curriculum

· Recruits and places volunteers in appropriate classrooms.

· Serves as liaison for teachers and resource for students for career and education advice, financial literacy assistance, and for connection of students with mentors.

· Trains teachers on semester-long courses and all learning experience implementations.

· Ensures students enter competition and challenge opportunities for enhanced professional and soft skill experiences, scholarships and cash prizes; works with teachers to ensure students are prepared for competition and challenge opportunities.

· Serves on Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High advisory boards including, but not limited to, SAC and Leadership Council.

· Develops relationships with business community for adopt-a-classroom, internship, apprenticeship and job shadow opportunities.

· Trains and oversees interns at Cocoa Jr/Sr High Tiger Shack Pantry to include maintain inventory levels, shift coverage, promotions, merchandising, digital marketing and more.

· Maintains BCRM data on all programs and participants. Maintains all digital and physical record for participant registrations, biography, conduct standard forms, permission slips and photo releases and evaluation forms for all programs.

· Actively participates in Palm Bay and Titusville Chambers of Commerce events.

· Maintains all aspects of BCRM Engage.

· Submits class registration forms and required reports to JAUSA on a timely basis. Manages program department records in line with organizations standards and objectives. Supports program manager (education coordinator?) in program verification tracking and procedures.

· Maintains inventory of program materials on site to meet needs of the program department within guidelines established in the budget. Ensures materials are ordered in a timely fashion and maintains neat in-house inventory. Collects leftover and unused material to recycle into new kits.

· Prepares materials for volunteer, educator and student orientations programs, i.e. updating orientations materials, scheduling, ordering program materials, distributing registration forms, pre and post student evaluation tools and volunteer surveys. Assists in planning and implementing methods of program communication and recognition.

· Maintains volunteer and classroom reporting and database to share with committee. Creates Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High site-specific news to include in quarterly volunteer newsletter.

· Participates in JA USA webinars, trainings, committee meetings and ongoing communications relevant to current role.

· Participates in meetings and on committees of education, community and business-related organizations to ensure Junior Achievement's position as a trusted and go-to resource including individual school academy advisory boards. Maintains and develops appropriate collaborative relationships with community organizations to strengthen program outreach and impact.

· As needed, assists Education Coordinator in JAID registration, coordination and logistics, and on-site programmatic day support, i.e., phone confirmations, facility preparation, volunteer coordination, information distribution and collection, pre-/post-test administration, program evaluations, on-site support and trouble-shooting of school-wide JA-in-a-Day events at Cocoa Jr/Sr High and Heritage High feeder elementary schools. Supports event planning and logistics of key program events.

· Actively participates in school outreach and volunteer recruitment activities, application progress, training, coordination and registration. Implements timely first line of response to educator, students, parent and volunteer information inquiries.

· Meets reporting and marketing objectives for board meetings, annual reports, testimonials and reporting for donors and grants, and social media messaging. Assists in reporting on program information.

· Maintains awareness of all department protocols and processes. Involved in project and deliverable tracking throughout implementations. Suggests process improvement and document new procedures as needed. Maintains clear and consistent communication with supervisor on progress updates and calendar.

· Attends all JA Board and Staff meetings; attends networking events, speaking engagements and other committee meetings as appropriate.

Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent business experience

· Record of persuasive communication and client relationship management

· Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

· Willingness to receive feedback in open manner and apply feedback to performance improvement

· Experience in database software

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written forms

· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

· Proficiency in learning new computer skills

· Ability to lift 25 pounds and transport event supplies and materials

· Current valid Florida driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities. (mileage reimbursed)

· Some evenings, mornings, and weekends are required.

· Willingness to undergo background check
