Job Description: Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a seasoned IT Director who thrives in both management and hands-on roles within the healthcare technology field. This dynamic position involves overseeing all IT in our organization including direct involvement in systems design, development, and support. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance of all IT and systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Managing and overseeing the entire IT system, including infrastructure, security, and software applications.
  • Developing and implementing IT policies and systems that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborating with administrative staff to ensure technology meets entity needs.
  • Oversee and ensure that computing systems, technology and equipment operate effectively and efficiently for office and home setups.
  • Oversee business system applications, including email, enterprise resource planning systems, website, and more.
  • Maintain information technology, cyber and Information Security by researching and using up-to-date technological solutions.
  • Ensure regulatory and policy requirements and commitments are implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure proper compliance with local, state, and Federal codes and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures regarding IT standards.
  • Partner with current IT vendor acting as corporate liaison.
  • Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Select and purchase new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary
  • Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  • Review service contracts with IT vendor and co-ordinate as necessary.
  • Keep up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of IT experience.
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure and services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Ability to lead and teach others.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT developments for healthcare industry and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.
  • Time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (HIPAA, etc.) and medical industry's best practices.
  • Flexible working hours.

Pay Range:

$70,000-$80,000 plus benefits (negotiable on experience level)
