We are looking for an Admissions Specialist who shares our values and vision to join our team in Laconia, NH.

Position Overview :

Are you a skilled and compassionate professional looking to make a real impact in a supportive, rural community? Paugus Bay Behavioral Health is seeking an Admissions Specialist who will play a pivotal role in helping individuals take their first steps toward recovery.

In this in-office position, you will handle incoming calls from prospective patients, schedule admissions, and use motivational interviewing techniques to guide individuals towards seeking help.

Additionally, you will manage admissions and discharges from sober living facilities, supervise house managers, and oversee the collection of sober living fees.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess potential clients by phone for admission and ensure they meet criteria.
  • Conduct new client orientations and patient intakes in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Mediate potential disputes at sober living.
  • Share pertinent information with teams from clients and families.
  • Assist clients outside of group or individual sessions.
  • Explain the program to clients both before they commit to admission, and after.
  • Complete admission forms with responsible parties upon admission.
  • Send out alerts when an admission arrives.
  • Upload all required admission paperwork into the EMR.
  • Maintain medical records related to patient intakes, and set up new admission packets.
  • Ensure prescreening assessments are completed according to guidelines, by coordinating with licensed clinicians.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Transport clients to appointments and meetings as needed.
  • Ensure a professional atmosphere at all times.
  • Support Health Services and client engagement activities.
  • Track, monitor, and report clerical errors in admissions and EMR systems.
  • Manage intakes and discharges into company sober living.
  • Lead mandatory weekly house meetings at sober living facilities.
  • Coordinate rent payments, and manage rent payment plans.
  • Track housing A / R for Sober Living.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in the field of mental health or addictions preferred.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and manage patient accountability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit work for spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions, and participate in meetings.
  • Demonstrates and fosters the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Bachelors Degree or Peer Recovery Specialist Certification preferred, but not required.

Supervision :

The Admissions Specialist will supervise three sober living house managers.
