Job Summary: GIN SUSHI PASADENA (30YRS SAME OWNERSHIP )

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team and prepare delicious sushi dishes in our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Japanese cuisine and be proficient in creating visually appealing and tasty sushi dishes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the sushi preparation area
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or relevant role
- Knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary setting
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and presentation

Skills:

- Dietary department experience
