As a non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, we provide essential social services and emergency support to Maya immigrant families in the Bay Area. Additionally, we actively promote Yucatec Maya cultural values and act as a vital link between our community, local authorities, consulates, and the Mexican Yucatecan governments. We are dedicated to fostering participation, exchange, and economic development among Yucatecan immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area and their communities of origin. Through our organized activities, we aim to facilitate the development and interaction within the Yucatec Mayan Community in the San Francisco Bay Area and endeavor to fortify Yucatec Mayan cultural values among all interested parties. Asociacion Mayab also plays a crucial role in facilitating the Yucatec Mayan Community's access to community and social services in the Bay Area while continually evaluating and implementing solutions to address the community's needs.
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and advocacy to clients in need of social services. **Duties:** - Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized care plans - Provide counseling and crisis intervention services - Coordinate and monitor services for clients, including referrals to community resources - Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community - Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation - Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients - Supervise and mentor support staff as needed **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required; Master's degree preferred - Previous experience in addiction counseling, crisis management, behavioral health, child welfare, or related fields - Knowledge of Section 8, Medicare, and childcare services - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with empathy This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals in need.
