Position Title: Design and Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA. On-site or hybrid work schedule.

Job Type: Full-Time

A SPACE Home Design is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design and Project Consultant to join our growing team. The Design and Project Consultant will ensure smooth operation of our projects, from inception to completion. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks and will be an integral part of our project success, assisting in project management and overseeing the project timeline.

This position is perfect for someone who has a passion for interior design and possesses strong organizational and operational skills.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Creating proposals, invoices, and purchase orders in Houzz, our CRM project management software.
  • Handling purchasing, tracking inventory, and coordinating deliveries and returns, if needed.
  • Assisting with project management and managing project scheduling to ensure client project timelines are on track to finish on time.
  • Updating client budgets and Gantt charts.
  • Run local errands, such as obtaining dimensions and collecting samples, to support client projects.
  • Printing construction binders and leading internal project meetings with trade vendors, including crafting agendas and providing follow-up notes.
  • Ordering samples and creating sample boxes for client presentations.

Some of Your Overall Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Proactively negotiating pricing with vendors.
  • Resolving invoices and purchase orders for inventory returns.
  • Billing clients and following up with the internal team to drive billing completion.
  • Assisting with DIY design bibles, contractor packets, and interior design business guides.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, negotiation, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving approach and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to plan, communicate, and execute plans with a team.
  • Technical proficiency and comfort with learning new software tools.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Familiarity with Houzz PRO.
  • Previous experience in leading and organizing complex projects that involve multiple steps and team members.
  • Previous experience in the interior design industry.
