The UPS Store #4959 is a small business operated by AriShipping, LLC. We provide professional customer service and world class shipping, packaging, printing, shredding, notary services, and postal services for individual consumers and small businesses.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Retail Sales Associate to work in our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both writing and speaking. Applicants who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.

Responsibilities

● Greet customers in a friendly manner, identify their needs, answer questions about specific products/services, and offer additional services of benefit

● Assist customers to determine the best way to ship their packages by conducting price and feature comparisons

● Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, accessing shipment manifesting software, and generating labels

● Carry packages to and from customer's vehicle when requested

● Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point-of-Sale system

● Pack contents for shipping using established products and procedures

● Manage returns of merchandise for corporate accounts, including receiving, sorting, and preparing for shipment

● Operate fingerprint collection software and hardware and collect fingerprints

● Take passport photos for adults, children, and infants

● Perform Notary services; properly identify document signers, type of document being notarized, and type of notarial act required

● Assist customers with document shredding services

● Observe proper procedures for setting up and terminating mailboxes in accordance with Postal Service regulations

● Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes, and check in package deliveries from multiple carriers; retrieve and distribute mail and packages accurately

● Receive and prepare documents for printing and production including formatting, adjusting layout, and resizing for print; and laminate, cut, fold, bind, and other finishing services as needed

● Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment and all other office machines, and help customers operate office machines located in retail area

● Assist in stocking shelves with product and monitoring inventory levels for re-ordering supplies

● Perform beginning and end of day duties including reconciliation of cash and checks accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment including general housekeeping duties

Skills & Qualifications

· Some experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math

· Outstanding phone skills

· Must be able to pass a background check

· Ability to become a Nevada Notary, preferred

· Computer application knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel

· Knowledge of Internet applications including Outlook, Gmail, Google

· Experience with graphic design programs including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Canva, preferred

· Ability to operate office equipment including fax, copiers, printers, phone systems

· Must be dependable, prompt, reliable, responsible, and have a positive attitude

· Reliable transportation is a must

· Physical requirements include the ability to stand for several hours at a time and ability to lift 50-75 lbs, must be able to bend to pick boxes up from the floor, climb ladders to reach high shelves, and lift overhead

There is a 90 day trial period. Employment will be continued after trial period depending on the outcome of a performance evaluation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
