**Overview:**

We are seeking a professional and certified Yoga Instructor and/or Fitness Instructor to join our team. This position is not in a public space. As a Yoga Instructor, you will need to be able to lead chair yoga classes for an active aging population, create a welcoming environment, and help students improve their physical and mental well-being through yoga practice. As a Fitness Instructor, you will need to be comfortable offering multilevel accessible aerobics, aqua, Zumba, or similar type classes to an active aging community.

**Must complete an unpaid audition to be hired. (Exceptions: 5 years verifiable and continuous experience in the specified field) Classes are 45 mins long

**Duties:**

- Lead classes for students of all levels and abilities

- Create and deliver safe, comprehensive, and engaging sessions

- Provide guidance on proper techniques and alignment

- Offer modifications to accommodate varying skill levels and physical abilities

- Develop class plans that align with the facility's philosophy and goals

- Maintain a clean and organized yoga studio space (cleaning crew provided. You will have minimal duties here)

**Requirements:**

- Certification as a Yoga/Fitness Instructor

- Proficiency in various yoga styles such as Hatha, Yin, Chair, etc (Yoga position only)

- Strong knowledge of common issues of the aging body mechanics and physiology

- Experience in teaching group fitness or related disciplines like dance or cycling(Fitness position only)

- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate chair yoga poses(Yoga position only)

- Passion for promoting health and wellness

Nice-to-have Skills:

- Knowledge in nursing physical therapy or sports coaching

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1 per week
