Job Overview:

Auscultech Dx is seeking Senior R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our medical and research operations by developing and implementing state-of-the-art computer vision solutions. The role involves building large clinical databases and managing research assistants who collect data at different sites. Processing of data is a large task of the responsibilities of this position. This role will focus on image segmentation and classification using deep learning. The project also involves writing grant proposals, FDA applications, and commercialization of the medical technology.

Responsibilities:

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Develop, test, and optimize computer vision models tailored for medical imaging.
• Manage and build large datasets that involves manual annotation of medical images and quality scoring
• Collaborate with medical professionals to integrate clinical symptoms and review the annotated images
• Deploy the trained/validated segmentation models on different healthcare providers platforms such as Telehealth websites and mobile apps
• Familiarity with Swift and React technologies is highly desired
• Test different functionalities of the mobile app and interact with software developers
• Draft FDA Pre-Subs and 510 (k) application and interact with FDA consultants to generate the technical documentation needed for FDA.
• Write proposal grants and ARPA-H quarterly reports
• Document processes and methodologies and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

· PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science with extensive image processing, signal processing, and software/hardware development.

· Strong experience with DL-based Object Detection/Segmentation/classification models such as YOLOV8, 9, 10, RT-DETR, SWIN, RESNET18, DEIT, AST, etc.

· Proficiency in C and Python, with a proven track of publications in high quality journals and Conferences (IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing).

· Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.

· Experience in working with medical imaging data is a plus.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· A collaborative mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
