Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher at Crossroads Charter Schools in Kansas City, MO. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for working with students with disabilities in an elementary school setting. The primary tasks include providing special education services, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and providing communication and support to students and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching and supporting students with disabilities in a middle school setting
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Experience in differentiating instruction and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Passion for working with diverse student populations
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Master's degree in Special Education or related field is a plus
