Bragg Funeral Home is looking for part-time Funeral Attendants to learn and grow with the business as it continues serving families in North Jersey.

Bragg Funeral Home has been in business since 1937 in Passaic, adding the Paterson location in 1945.

Driver’s License and a spotless driving record is required

Funeral experience, experience driving larger vehicles, and Spanish speaking capability are not required but all are considered a plus.

Basic Job Description:

Perform variety of tasks during funeral, such as placing casket in parlor or chapel prior to service; arranging floral offerings or lights around casket; directing or escorting mourners; closing casket; and issuing and storing funeral equipment.

Job Duties and Tasks for: "Funeral Attendant”

1) Offer assistance to mourners as they enter or exit limousines.

2) Close caskets at appropriate point in services.

3) Transfer the deceased to funeral homes.

4) Pickup families and drive them to funerals, cemeteries, and back to their homes

5) Direct or escort mourners to parlors or chapels in which wakes or funerals are being held.

6) Place caskets in parlors or chapels prior to wakes or funerals.

7) Clean and drive funeral vehicles such as cars or hearses in funeral processions.

8) Carry flowers to hearses or limousines for transportation to places of interment.

9) Clean funeral parlors and chapels.

10) Arrange floral offerings or lights around caskets.

11) Provide advice to mourners on how to make charitable donations in honor of the deceased.

12) Act as pallbearers.
