Accountant Success Profile

• The Staff Accountant’s role with Palm Beach Tax Group is to independently provide accurate and timely financial statements to the client in accordance with their needs and in a process that is most efficient to both them and our firm.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• Corporate Accounting, Required
• Preparation of personal and business tax forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, etc., Required
• QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, Required
• ATC and/or Taxwise Software, Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, Required
• EA or CPA License – Preferred
• 2 years of experience in Staff Accounting position, Required

Primary Responsibilities

• Entering of daily transactions using company software
• Responding to requests from clients on general tax and accounting needs

(i.e., running reports, responding to requests, etc.)

• Prepare monthly and/or quarterly reconciliations

(i.e., bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, etc.)

• Prepare financial statements and provide an overview to the client based on their service level
• Prepare tax returns for clients (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, etc.)
• Prepare payroll reports
• Prepare sales tax reports
• Track the progress and completion of monthly and/or quarterly bookkeeping
• Track the progress and completion of monthly and/or quarterly payroll and sales tax reporting
• Perform self-review to ensure that accounting is accurate
• Prepare financial statements and provide an overview to the client based on their service level
• Prepare tax returns for clients (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, etc.)
• Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.
• Manage prospective and current client correspondence
• Assist in building out tax plans and deliverables
• Assist in building our brand, our firm, and our client base through referrals, social media, leads, etc.
• Assist in tracking the analytics of marketing efforts
• Performs all other duties as assigned
