Retail Strategies is Hiring a Sales Coordinator Near Birmingham, AL

Retail Strategies, a Best Places to Work and Fastest Growing Company, is looking for a Sales Coordinator to provide support for our Sales team while owning a single state territory. The ideal candidate should be self-driven with excellent communication skills and should be excited by selling into new markets and strategizing next steps. The goal for the Sales Coordinator is to train underneath our experienced Sales team to one day have a full territory of their own.

This is an in-office position in Birmingham, Alabama, with travel required – on average, one-two times per month.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting via phone, email, and social selling
  • Working closelywithBusiness Development Directors to develop content for qualified prospects
  • Supporting the proposal process through data collection and presentation
  • Work within a defined territory to bring in new Client cities
  • Engage with Municipalities, Chambers of Commerce, Mayors, and other Economic Development agencies
  • Fully understand, and have the ability to, sell multiple product lines
  • Track all deals from initial interaction to completion in Company customer relationship management (CRM) tool
  • Meet and exceed defined sales goal per product line
  • Leverage innovation to maximize revenue of traditional and digital assets and products
  • Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them for business opportunities
  • Promote positive relationships with prospects and partners to understand their needs

Skills and Qualifications

  • Organized with experience working in a CRM (HubSpot experience a plus)
  • 2 years of relevant sales experience; background with municipalities, economic development corporations, or chambers is a plus
  • Strength in problem solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Public speaking experience
