Account Manager US Strategic Customers

The Account Manager plays a key leadership role within the Kokusai USA team, with significant visibility and regular interaction with both internal and external executives. The AM drives best-in-class customer engagement and supports strategic customers across multiple business areas with the aim of growing market share. Fluency in process and HW is required to provide leadership to a dynamic team that includes engineering and sales. The leadership role extends to all team members, it is expected that this role helps build a positive environment, acting as a guide and mentor to operations and technology teams, ensuring cohesive execution towards a wide range of objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The account manager represents Kokusai in all commercial-oriented activities and provides leadership and guidance to the technology team both internal and external.
  • Is ultimately responsible for growing Kokusai share and revenue for key strategic customers.
  • Develops/implements aligned sales strategies that connect Kokusai capabilities to customer HVP’s and technical/operational needs.
  • Understands and leverages Kokusai product value propositions in sales positioning strategies.
  • Identify and prioritize market share opportunities for existing and potential new product capabilities and commercial offerings.
  • Responsible for developing contacts and relationships with key decision-makers within the customer’s organization. 
  • Leverages relationships to identify customer needs and HVP’s.
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of the customer buying process and key players associated. 
  • Develops commercial proposals, pricing quotes; negotiates to a final price and deliverables, submits documentation to book order.
  • Manages communications to update customers with current Kokusai products, services, and roadmaps.
  • Maintains and publishes summaries of customer visits. Develops customer-specific action plans with owners and coordinate completion on a timely basis. 
  • Facilitates technical feedback to Product Development and R&D teams.
  • Provide accurate annual/monthly sales forecasts by customer and opportunity.

Required Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related core sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Semiconductor Manufacturing or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 5 years working in Semiconductor as an engineer in Fab or a capital equipment supplier.
  • 3 years of technology-related sales or business development experience
  • Experience working onsite with customers on HW, process, and development projects.
  • Excellent understanding of memory and/or analog/embedded technology and market requirements

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. (range $145 - $159K). In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
