Reporting to the Head of Energy Projects, the purpose of the WHS Coordinator is to apply technical, project management, and industry skills to help manage company safety across all construction and operational energy projects as well as corporate processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of safety systems to ensure compliance with WHS management systems, laws, and regulations.
• Oversee contractors’ WHS management, including review of Safe Method Work Statements, permits and construction methods.
• Be based onsite during energy project construction periods.
• Provide WHS advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving a safety focused culture
• Execute best practice and stay up to speed with industry legislation.

About you:

• Knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
• Experience working with Safety Management Systems
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Experience in a WHS role on construction site
• High level of communication - written and verbal
• Strong project management skills.
• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and liaison skills, including the ability to discuss complex concepts with non-experts.
• Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must have a current Australian Driver’s License
