We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy clinic. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with our licensed physical therapists to provide exceptional patient care and support. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to develop and implement customized treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
2. Assist in conducting initial assessments, re-assessments, and ongoing evaluations of patients' progress.
3. Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and modalities as prescribed by the physical therapist.
4. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance rehabilitation and prevent re-injury.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Monitor patients during therapy sessions to ensure safety and proper technique.
7. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and progress.
8. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment, including equipment maintenance and infection control protocols.
9. Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
10. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice and conduct in accordance with state regulations and professional guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. CPR certification and basic life support (BLS) training.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
6. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
8. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
9. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
