Our client, an Am Law 200 firm is seeking a litigation paralegal for their Los Angeles (Century City) office.

This role is a critical part of the firm's elite litigation team and is responsible for providing both administrative and research assistance to partners, associates and clients and coordinating of all details before, during and after trial. The best fit is someone who has managed a trial team from inception through completion.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Create and implement all elements of litigation case management systems, including file management (electronic and hard copy), case calendaring, discovery-related tasks and trial activities.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Assist attorneys with document reviews (setup, coordination of hot doc binders, preparation of privilege logs, conduct searches as needed, etc.)
  • Assist with preparation of state and federal court filings in coordination with Managing Attorneys Office, including coordination of service copies, delivery of documents to Court, preparation of litigation backs and other specific document preparation as required by the specific Court or Judge.
  • Draft and review routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.
  • Conduct precedent and legal research under attorney supervision.

Requirements:

  • 5 years litigation paralegal experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bluebooking and cite checking briefs, as well as creation of Table of Authorities through Best Authority.
  • Completion of an approved paralegal program or ability to provide attorney attestation.
  • Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.

Its a hybrid schedule, on-site 3 days per week. The firm has a 35 hour work-week.

Salary is $120,000-$140,000K annual bonus
