Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
2. Provide basic nursing care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to patients based on their individual care plans.
3. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control procedures and protocols.
4. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, and report any significant changes to the nursing team.
5. Assist in transferring and transporting patients using proper lifting and transfer techniques to ensure their safety and comfort.
6. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
7. Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
8. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans based on the individual needs and preferences of each patient.
9. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
10. Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
