CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

OBJECTIVE
Grand River Construction is searching for a highly-skilled estimator/project manager to contribute to Grand River’s growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have food or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities experience, as well as strong work plan development and project oversight skills. Candidate will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring the innovation we seek is being achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
-Provide Construction Project Management for the successful planning, design, execution and completion of a diverse variety of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems that range from small-scale retrofits to large-scale new construction projects.
-To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
-Analyze project progress and, when necessary, develop scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
-Maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Core Competencies
-Minimum 5 years project management experience
-Strong computer & technology utilization
-Proven success working with all levels of management
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Requirements/Essential Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Architectural, Industrial Engineering or the equivalent field related experience.
-Advanced knowledge and significant experience with construction projects ranging from small-scale upgrades/remodels, medium-scale tenant improvements, to large-scale ground up new construction projects.
-Demonstrated track record of safe implementation of work within complex construction environments.
-Construction in industrial and food or pharmaceutical cGMP Manufacturing Environments is preferred
-Strong working knowledge of construction means, methods, and products.
-Advanced experience with detailed costing and schedule tools and techniques applied to construction projects.
