Description

The Consulting Services practice of Keegan Linscott offers specialized service in forensic accounting, litigation support, fraud investigation and prevention, bankruptcy/reorganization, merger and acquisition, and accounting (i.e., billing, collections, and other general accounting) services. Keegan Linscott’s consulting services group has certified personnel on staff with over 70-years of experience in providing quality litigation support, conducting complex fraud and forensic accounting engagements, assessing fraud risks, and assisting companies, unsecured creditors, secured lenders, and other parties in interest with the complexities of bankruptcy and reorganizations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Forensic Accounting Consultant with 2-4 years of experience to join our Consulting Services group. This position will be responsible for assisting in the provision of accounting services (billing, collections, and other general accounting), merger and acquisition services (opening balance sheet preparation and other accounting matters), bankruptcy/reorganization consulting, litigation support and other investigative accounting services to attorneys, companies and individuals. Additional responsibilities of the Forensic Accounting Consultantmay include planning, directing, and completing projects and services in litigation support, forensics, bankruptcy, restructuring, and client accounting. The senior associate works closely with partners and managers on client management, practice development, and business development.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Expertise in accounting required
  • Experience with accounts receivable, billing and collections required
  • Experience in litigation consulting, investigation, bankruptcy, merger and acquisition, and business skills in assisting clients involved in disputes or in the investigation of impropriety is preferred.
  • Reviews, analyzes and researches historical financial and industry information, revenue and expense projections and damage evaluations.
  • Prepares/Compiles detailed, full reports for clients, regulators and other parties for use in court and other matters.
  • Run client engagements from start to finish (with direction from supervisor), which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing projects and services and managing to budget.
  • Executes client service plans in a manner that ensures commitments are met, potential problems anticipated, and surprises avoided.
  • Solid negotiating and problem-solving skills -- effectively and professionally discusses issues and areas in dispute.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in accounting or consulting; prefer experience in billings and collections, general accounting, merger and acquisition support, litigation support, bankruptcy/reorganization, business valuation, or forensics.
  • Candidates who possess and maintain (or working towards obtaining) a valid CPA license or other approved credential such as the CMA, CIRA, CFE, or CFF are preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to travel to meet with clients and assist in investigations.
  • Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge
  • Analytical with experience in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
