Job Overview:

Join our team at BlockMesa, a vertically integrated private equity real estate company, as a meticulous and experienced Part-Time Controller/Accountant. Your role will report to ownership in managing our financial operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all business functions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular bookkeeping reviews and ensure financial records are accurate.
• Analyze cash flow across our diverse portfolio and provide strategic insights.
• Manage banking relationships and oversee accurate bank reconciliations.
• Maintain proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities.
• Support operational efficiency through process improvements and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within real estate or private equity.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position with flexible hours.
• Estimated 20 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during peak periods and less hours during Summer months.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
