Job Overview:
We are seeking a Debt Collection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from individuals and businesses, while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as experience in legal debt collection.
Responsibilities will include:
- Contact individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all communications and payment agreements.
- Monitor and manage accounts, identifying and resolving issues that may arise.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws governing debt collection, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant regulations.
- Update management regularly on progress and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay up to date on legal debt collection practices and regulations.
- Provide excellent Customer service, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times, while assisting debtors in resolving their debts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Debt Collector or similar role.
- Knowlege of federal and state debt collection laws, including the FDCPA and other regulations.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and resolve conflicts
-Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and debt collection software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
