Hoop Dreams Basketball Academy is dedicated to nurturing and showcasing basketball talent. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sports Photographer and Videographer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and elevate the Hoop Dreams brand through high-quality visual content. If you have a keen eye for capturing the essence of sports and a drive to develop your craft, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of practices, games, and events.
• Create engaging content for our social media platforms, website, and YouTube channel.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that highlight our athletes and programs.
• Travel with our teams during the spring and summer to cover high-level events across the mid-east and south.
• Edit photos and videos using Photoshop or other editing software, preparing files for public viewing.
• Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment (personal equipment or provided by Hoop Dreams).
• Assist with visual content creation for partner companies, including childcare center highlights, as well as our scouting service.
• Ensure timely delivery of content, adhering to deadlines and content schedules.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and initiatives to promote the Hoop Dreams brand.

Qualifications:

• Strong portfolio showcasing photography and videography skills, particularly in sports.
• Proficiency in camera operation and knowledge of various photography and videography techniques.
• Experience with photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel with teams and adjust working hours based on content needs.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in sports photography and videography.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation trends.
• Familiarity with marketing and branding strategies.
• Experience working with youth and sports organizations.
