We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology department in Bonita Springs, FL. As a Veterinary Technician in our Oncology department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced veterinary professionals and make a difference in the lives of pets diagnosed with cancer.

• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including but not limited to handling, restraint, and administration of medications
• Prepare patients for appointments, including obtaining medical history and vital signs
• Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients under the supervision of veterinarians
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and cytology
• Monitor and document patients' progress during treatment
• Assist with radiation therapy treatments and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Provide emotional support to pet owners and answer their questions regarding treatment plans and prognosis

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred
• Previous experience working in an oncology setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
