Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting, a strong understanding of financial concepts, and working knowledge of Jonas Premier Construction Software. Responsibilities:

• Perform general bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining general ledgers.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage and Xero.
• Working knowledge of Jonas Premier Construction Software.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in governmental accounting is a plus.
