Position: CMF Lead Designer

Currently, we are looking for a CMF Lead Designer. You will become part of our experienced and international AVATR Design Team in Munich. The role is assigned to a design project from the initial research and concept phase through production and show cars. You will contribute to the project development and strategy and provide hands-on creative output. Over 5 years of experience is preferred.

Work Location: Munich, Germany

What You Will Be Doing:

• Generate design concepts for assigned projects and lead those.
• Create new product applications and strategies for the IVO brand on a global basis and within the Chinese market.
• Develop design ideas into virtual/physical ideations and overall theme concepts.
• Collaborate with internal designers and specialists in other departments (Exterior, Interior, Fabrication, Modeling, Engineering, Costs, Marketing).
• Collaborate with external vendors/suppliers.
• Provide solutions to existing tasks.
• Participate in design presentations with a high level of creative input.
• Develop new concepts, product ideas, and strategies.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis.
• Apply knowledge of consumer design trends and forecasting.

• Demonstrated visual communication skills to convey concept, theme, color, and research.
• Up-to-date digital technology (3D CAD software, 2D illustration software) knowledge.
• Material development skills (textile, vinyl, leather, carpet, headliner, interior, and exterior color and finishes).
• Ability to perform color tuning and mastering.
• Proven design experience in production and concept vehicles.
• Proficient verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and product planning processes.
• Wide interest/knowledge of the creative industry (e.g., entertainment, product design, fashion, tech).
• Exceptional time management skills.
