EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL HOUSEKEEPER

SUMMARY

The housekeeper's responsibilities include implementing overall cleanliness and organization and stocking personal and household supplies for the house's interior and exterior living spaces. They may also oversee contract housekeeping services for one family under limited supervision and provide sensitive and responsive service to an ever-changing family schedule.

GENERAL HOURS: Business hours with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES

HOUSEKEEPING, CLEANING, AND ORGANIZING

· Duties consist of daily inspections and managing or implementing cleaning routines on regular schedules to keep every aspect of the home to 5-star hotel standards. The focus is on the general tidying of high-use areas, resetting to the standards set in the memorandum of understanding and standard operating procedures.

· Working with the House Manager, emphasis will be placed on maintaining a high level of organization of items in drawers, cabinets, and shelves for ease of cleaning and use by all family members and staff.

· Additional projects include rug spot cleaning, deep cleaning procedures, closet organization, and personal item repairs. Must know proper cleaning techniques for high-end household contents and best practices.

· A general knowledge and appreciation for organic and personalized recipes for organic cleaning products.

· Running errands and other various requests and projects at the homeowner’s discretion.

LAUNDRY AND COUTURE CLOSET MANAGEMENT

· Experience with couture clothing, bespoke suits, fine linens, and delicate fabrics—whether to steam, wash/dry, hand wash, or use professional cleaning with a focus on quick turnaround times. Bed linens, towels, napkins, etc. will also be included.

· Will be responsible for taking and picking up dry cleaning/pressing as needed.

HOUSEHOLD INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

· Document, order, and track inventory and restock all household and personal products used within the home to ensure that the house and backstock are well-stocked.

RISK MANAGEMENT

· Complete all tasks with proper personal protection equipment.

· Alert the House Manager to any unsafe work conditions immediately.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Passion for working in a residential environment, providing world-class service to one family.

· Maintaining awareness of who is occupying each space and working to plan your day around them.

· Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Responsible for working independently and as part of a team.

· High level of discretion and discernment relating to protecting the principal's privacy and interests; willingness to sign and adhere to a non-disclosure agreement.

· Willingness to cross-train other staff responsibilities so that household operations run smoothly during staff absences or transitions.

· Interact and communicate one-on-one with peers, vendors, principals, and upper management through online project management software.

· Maintain CPR/AED certification.

· Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

· A basic understanding and open attitude to using a Smartphone, computer, online calendars, and project management software are required. Word and Excel experience are also required.

· Excellent personal references.

· Assist in the needs of the property, principal, and staff 24/7 if needed.

· Reliable attendance with a somewhat flexible work schedule.

· A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.

· US work authorization.
