Job Title: Preschool Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are a church based preschool program that is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-2:30. Teachers will work 10-12 hours/week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment to facilitate the development of young children. Teachers are responsible for planning lessons and activities that will help children grow in all areas: language, motor skills, math, and socially. Bible lessons and themes are included weekly as well.
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum to enhance children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Create engaging lessons that promote learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities
- Provide a safe and supportive environment where children can learn and interact with their peers
- Monitor and assess each child's progress to ensure developmental milestones are being met
- Communicate with parents to provide regular updates on their child's progress
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to encourage positive behavior and social skills development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is a plus
Skills:
- Experience working with children in church, daycare or school setting
- Patient, flexible and energetic
