Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship is Hiring a Development Manager Near Bedford, NY

Location: 556 Croton Lake Rd Mount Kisco, NY 10549

Employment Type: Part-time with Full-time potential

Reports to: Executive Director

About Us: Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship is a 501c3 not for profit organization located in Mount Kisco, New York. Endeavor’s mission is to empower individuals with a broad range of needs by providing the highest quality equine assisted services in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Endeavor provides services to over 900 individuals each year including veterans and active-duty military, at risk youth, children and adults with disabilities, and incarcerated individuals.

Job Summary: Endeavor is looking for a motivated and forward thinking individual to provide leadership on all fundraising initiatives including special events, major gifts, planned giving, sponsorships, donor cultivation, and grant writing.

This role requires a critical thinker with a thorough understanding of our brand and mission, exceptional communication skills, and experience in nonprofit development.

This role will be expected to maintain and strengthen existing, long-term donors as well as generate new funding sources.

Title: Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Executive Director and Board of Directors to create a development plan which increases (1) revenue through multiple streams of funding (2) brand awareness

· Manage giving

o Individual giving

§ Develop and implement all aspects of direct donor mailings, appeal letters, and other donor mailings as needed

§ Continue to develop “Ringleaders” leadership efforts and events.

§ Organize, streamline, and maintain donor management tracking and communication

o Corporate giving

§ Work with Volunteer Manager to identify, manage, and engage corporate volunteer opportunities

§ Maintain existing and continue to develop “Community Partner” efforts and relationships

o Grant requests and administration

§ Research and write grants

§ Create annual foundation calendar to actively plan for reporting and solicitation

§ Provide timely reports and ensure compliance as required by grant award

§ Support Endeavor program outcome initiatives to ensure alignment with grant objectives

§ Design text and data content management best practices to more efficiently respond to grant applications

o Ensure proper tracking

§ Utilize Little Green Light to keep giving data accurate and current

§ Acknowledge all gifts and donations

o Manage general communication efforts

§ Quarterly newsletters

§ Annual Report

§ Update website

§ Social Media

§ Develop and maintain media contacts with area media outlets

§ Create marketing materials

o Manage and Oversee All Events

§ Endeavor has three annual events: Spring Cocktails, CEO Benefit Horse Show, Fall Family BBQ

§ Coordinate logistics, budget, communication, and outreach with event chairs and planning committee

§ Provide accurate and up to date reports on event details

· Attendance

· Budget

· Acknowledgements

· Misc.

o Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and fundraising best practices

o Work collaboratively with Financial Management team to ensure accurate internal and external reporting

o Create quarterly fundraising reports for Board of Directors

o Other advancement initiatives as appropriate and needed

o Value engineer transaction fees for donation point of donation with DonorBox, Stripe, and TicketTailor or recommend other services

o Recommend any improvements in donor and fundraising processes to eliminate unnecessary expenses

Qualification:

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (donor database experience desirable)

● Experience with grant writing and reporting

● Ability to work within a budget

● Experience and contacts in Westchester and Fairfield County are a plus

● Impeccable organizational and time-management skills

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

● Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

● Friendly and professional demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills

● Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and special projects

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

● Contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment

Personal Attributes:

Must be a self-motivated with strong time management, communication, and organizational skills. Individual must be equally comfortable taking guidance and defining their own initiative as well as assisting with non-related farm activities. Endeavor is looking for an individual that can fully embrace Endeavor’s vision and values. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development and fundraising
