Desired Qualities of an ECRD Coach
An understanding and passion for roller derby: We expect a coach to appreciate and respect the sport and our league, and act within the best interests of our skaters’ training needs. Each Individual league member may want and need different things from their experience, so it will take an adaptive and flexible person to successfully fill this role as our head coach. We hope to bring on a coach who loves the sport as much as we do and can bring their own unique experience and relationship with the sport to the table.
A positive person with strong boundaries: We are looking for someone who can set clear expectations with the team and follow through on their commitments, while leading with empathy and kindness. We hope to improve upon our strong culture and community to become more competitive without losing touch with the strength that comes from that community and connectedness with one another. We will need a coach to foster that, and help enforce best practices.

ECRD Gameplay Goals
We intend to improve our level of gameplay and go after more opportunities to play Roller Derby Games. We plan to recruit, train, and retain enough players to maintain a full season of gameplay. We are looking for a head coach who will help us grow, adapt, and work towards achieving these goals and any other goals we might decide to work towards.
Expectations of the Role / Tasks
Anticipated Volunteer Time Per Week: 6-10 hours
Stipend: $2,000 Annually
