Brief Overview of Position

The Insider Risk Management (InRM) Program Sr. Analyst specializes in Insider Risk Management processes, (i.e. report triage, data collection and aggregation, and analysis), and possesses a clear understanding of technical and nontechnical potential risk indicators and insider attack vectors. A successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate effectively at all levels across the organization, and participate in multi-functional insider risk working groups. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in insider threat analysis or investigations, fraud investigations, law enforcement, counterintelligence, or all-source analysis.

• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Strong understanding of the internal threat landscape and malicious insider tactics & techniques.

• Strong knowledge of Insider Threat identification, detection, response, and mitigation best practices. 

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and laws.

• Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, internal, and external partners.

• Strong ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, including performance and risk metrics.

• Strong analytical mindset, focused on results with critical thinking, research and problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.

• Strong ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex projects, initiatives, and deliverables.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply Insider Risk Management Program knowledge to the analytic process to contextualize information and identify concerning behavior. 

• Apply potential risk indicators and/or reporting thresholds to all analytic and inquiry management processes. 

• Establish collaborative relationships with internal partners and stakeholders to facilitate information gathering and inquiry/investigation processes, mitigate bias, and support the overall Insider Risk Management Program mission. 

• Integrate collected information to identify a baseline set of behaviors for an individual. 

• Identify and flag anomalous activity using data integration methodologies and advanced analytics to contextualize an individual's behavior. 

• Evaluate, integrate, analyze, and interpret information using structured analytic techniques. 

• Review insider threat technical indicators and recommend updates to policies based on environmental and/or situational changes, as needed. 

• Employ case management principles and tools to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the insider risk response processes. 

• Report and brief findings to leadership, and ensure reporting follows analytic standards, demonstrates stakeholder relevance, and addresses implications.
