Miller and Company / Foundry and Steel is Hiring an Inventory Control Analyst Near Rosemont, IL

Company Overview:

This is a hybrid role, requiring the employee to be in our Rosemont office on Wednesdays and one other week day.

Job Summary:

This exempt level Inventory Control Analyst role will provide product service and inventory control to support our customers by controlling the physical and system inventories throughout our distribution system.

Costing / SAP Activity:

  1. Ensure inventory costs reflect the appropriate vendor invoices (material, handling, transportation, packaging, etc.) and projected costs.
  2. Process the receipt of purchase orders & production orders in SAP ERP system for all Miller third-party warehouse locations.
  3. Ensure system inventory matches the physical inventory counts provided by Miller third-party warehouse locations.
  4. Assist Accounts Payable team in matching vendor invoices to posted accruals for inventory related transactions.

Customer Service:

  1. Ensure Miller third-party warehouse locations are properly notified of all inbound material prior to the arrival of goods.
  2. Provide inbound product information to third-party warehouse locations so that material is properly labeled and stored.
  3. Ensure that third-party warehouse locations are sending receiving, shipping, & inventory documentation in a timely manner.
  4. Monitor third-party warehouse communication to ensure that shipping documentation is provided to the sales team and that Product Managers & Sales Coordinators are alerted of any shipping/receiving issues.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to work at our Rosemont office at least two days per week.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of general inventory management experience.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  6. Excellent in Excel and extremely comfortable working with data and formula calculations.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
